Deacon’s Board

The Deacons of VHQ function as a support team/liaison to the Pastor. Deacons, along with the Pastor, have enjoyed the distinction of occupying one of the scriptural positions in the church.  The Deacons assist the Pastor in shepherding the flock.  Deacons are loyal to the Pastor and the church.  Deacons are appointed by the Pastor, they are men of good report, not double tongued, not given to wine, not greedy of filthy lucre and they hold the mystery of the faith in a pure conscience.
