Welcoming Committee

The VHQ Welcome Committee is made up of dedicated saints who love God’s people and who are eager to welcome them to the house of God, and to serve them according to Hebrews 13:2, Be not forgetful to entertain strangers:  for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.

The VHQ Welcome Committee acts as an extension of the pastor’s hand of welcome by greeting visitors as they enter the sanctuary, and working diligently to ensure their comfort as they worship with us.  To maintain contact with visitors, this committee distributes visitors’ cards and follows up with a letter from the pastor acknowledging the visit.  Additionally, this committee distributes tokens of love from the ministry to first-time visitors.
